AnkJyoti is an independent website about Vedic numerology — the tradition of linking the numbers 1 to 9 with the nine planetary influences of Indian astrology. Our focus is on the two foundational numbers drawn from your date of birth: the Psychic Number and the Destiny Number.
Why we built this site
Numerology has been part of family conversations across South Asia and beyond for generations. Much of what is available online, however, is either thin and repetitive or fearful and fatalistic. We wanted to create a place that is warm, thoughtful and honest: a site that treats numerology as a tool for reflection and self-understanding, not a source of anxiety.
How we write
- Our interpretations draw on widely shared traditions of Vedic and Chaldean numerology, including the planetary friendship matrix used in our compatibility calculator.
- We aim for an uplifting tone without false promises: every number has real gifts and real growth areas.
- Our content is available in English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and French, and each version is written to read naturally in its language.
- We never claim that numbers determine health, finances or legal outcomes.
A note on belief
Numerology is a traditional and symbolic practice, not a science. We present it for reflection and entertainment. If you are facing an important decision, please consult a qualified professional.
What you will find here
The site is organised around a few simple tools and a large library of carefully written profiles. A free calculator finds your Psychic and Destiny Numbers from your date of birth in seconds. Nine Psychic Number pages and nine Destiny Number pages explain each number in depth. Eighty-one personality pages explore every combination of the two, and forty-five compatibility guides describe how each pair of numbers tends to relate in love, friendship and work. Two longer guides explain the method behind it all.
Our promise to readers
We keep the site free, fast and respectful. Advertising helps cover our costs, but it will never decide what we write. We do not sell remedies or gemstones, we do not ask for personal data to use the calculators, and we correct mistakes as soon as readers point them out. If something on the site could be clearer, kinder or more accurate, we genuinely want to hear about it.
